De Upanishads – Wim van der Laar<\/strong><\/p>\n

De Upanishads behoren tot de meest oorspronkelijke bronteksten van het hindoe\u00efsme. De oudste tekst dateert van 750 voor Christus, de jongste van het begin van onze jaartelling. Eenieder die zich verdiept in de Indiase filosofie, in non-dualiteit en in yoga als weg van bevrijding, stuit op enig moment op deze fundamentele en intrigerende geschriften.<\/p>\n

De Upanishads handelen over de oervragen van de mens. Wie ben ik? Wat is de aard van de wereld? Waaruit bestaat geluk, vervulling en vrijheid? Het onderricht wordt gegeven in de vorm van dialogen, parabels, vertellingen, in het besloten samenzijn van meester en leerling. Centraal staat de herkenning of realisatie van het Zelf, de ongeziene maar evidente kern van Bewustzijn in ieder mens.<\/p>\n

Nooit eerder werden De Upanishads zo compleet naar het Nederlands vertaald.<\/p>\n

Wim van de Laar (1961) is yogaleraar en vertaler. Veel van de oosterse bronteksten die handelen over ‘de natuurlijke staat’ en bevrijding zijn hem lief. Geen van deze geschriften echter zijn hem zo dierbaar als de Upanishads. Hij vertaalde eerder de Yoga-Sutra’s van Pata\u00f1jali.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
